One of my students at school pointed me in the direction of The Vitamin String Quartet, a group that covers other musician’s work as, strangely enough, a string quartet. Hovering somewhere between a dodgy MIDI file, and wicked genius the music is really entertaining.

They’ve done various tracks from Guitar Hero (yes, Through the fire and flames is in it too), hundreds of other albums, and it all sounds really good. It’s a sneaky way of getting people to listen to “popular” music without realising – you too could have your grandma bopping along to Raining Blood without her noticing
