I’ve just got a new graphics card for my PC. It’s a PCI-Express NVIDIA card. I put it in yesterday and all was fine, it can do the resolution that my 19″ widescreen monitor wants, and has DVI and VGA outputs for dual monitors.

So today I turn it on and the screen is all corrupt. Random flashing boxes where the boot menu should be, and some very interesting snow-like mess when booting windows. Well, Windows didn’t really boot, it just gave up and bluescreened at me. Then I went into the bios and … it all started working again.

Now it’s just gone crap again. I think the card is dead, I’m currently writing this on my laptop. I think the card is overheating since it’s got a big heatsink but no fan.
